Data and Quality Improvement

The ASC has identified data and quality improvement as one of its six priorities and have agreed to specifically:

  1. Expand the current agreed national framework to represent the entire continuum of care, in particular community access.
  2. Develop a mechanism to ensure all ASC members advocate with a common message about the approach to data and quality improvement for stroke.

The ASC agreed position paper on National Stroke Data and Quality can be located National Stroke Data and Quality Discussion paper – ASC (final draft).

The Australian Stroke Coalition (ASC) Data and Quality Working Group is overseeing a project implementing a new online data collection tool for clinical performance monitoring and improvement in stroke, called the Australian Stroke Data Tool (AuSDaT). Further information about this project can be found here.
